More about Jennifer Earle
Jennifer comes from a long line of chocoholics and has spent more than a decade working in the fine chocolate world and broader food industry. She is an internationally recognised chocolate expert, called upon to comment on the chocolate industry and on topics related to tasting. She is a judge for the International Chocolate Awards, the Academy of Chocolate Awards, the Great Taste Awards, the Quality Food Awards and Which? Magazine. Some of these she has been involved with in a grand juror capacity.
Jennifer spent several years as a Food Buyer at Marks & Spencer and as a Food Developer at McDonald's UK covering a variety of categories including produce, prepared meals, promotional calendars, new category introductions, health foods, coffee and McFlurry's. She continues to consult on new product development.
A considerable amount of Jennifer's time is spent reading about and visiting new food openings - restaurants, pop ups and shops - in London, where she lives, and on her regular travels. She conducts food trend exploration days for innovation teams.
In order to make great food more easily identifiable and easier to locate she runs two businesses: Chocolate Ecstasy Tours which she launched in 2005 and Taste Tripper, launched this year. Taste Tripper follows the same principle of connecting quality food to appreciative consumers, but provides more flexibility for consumers and the artisans. There are plans to expand internationally.
Jennifer appears regularly on radio and television as a guest chocolate expert and has written for and been quoted for various newspapers and magazines.
